The vicious assailant would have been apprehended and charged with assault if Charlies had protected its customers with correct basic security & security footage protocol standards practiced across the USA bar & night club industry.
Charlies initial response of not calling an ambulance for a tragic injury on their property is deplorable. The detective said that one week after the assault, Charlies had replaced the security video system starting May 6. After my 10 day hospital recovery, I was then able to finally file report with police. Instead of an ambulance that I requested, Charlies called police and me and my shattered hip were shoved into a police car.
I was unable to stand due to broken shattered hip. Immediately after the assault, outside the front entrance, I alerted the unexpressive Charlies doorman & bartender of my injury. At that moment in time, I was blind sighted by the harassing assailing assailant just inside the entrance. Another Charlies customer (the assailant), was harassing me for something I had nothing to do with and I decided to leave Charlies immediately. The results were a shattered hip just barely inside Charlies front entrance, and medical expenses more than six figures. On April 27, slightly after midnight I was, in a split second, viciously assaulted by an unknown assailant still at large Charlies located at 900 E. Charlies competition uses professional cleaning companies to thoroughly clean bathrooms the early mornings hours when venues are closed. On Jpride Sunday after their 4am afterhours party, Charlies was too lazy to clean their bathrooms for their customers that chose Charlies to drink cocktails before the grand 40th Annual Pride Celebration PARADE. Secondly, management obviously does not have Pride in their own GLBT bar.
That is bad business according standard security practices for bars and night clubs and police. When confronted by Denver Police, they conveniently replaced their security system thus destroying the footage of my assault. Charlies turned a deaf ear on my vicious assault. The assault was at Charlies located at 900 E. My experience after being a customer for 20 years was an assault last April with over $100,000 in medical bills.
